Instruction Manual: Directions are not clear and pictures are misleading. Challenging to put together

The shed took a few days to assemble but I wasn’t working on it the entire time. It’s held up to arizonas strong monsoons which is saying a lot. When I ordered the shed there was a promo to get a deck box as well which never was delivered so you lose two stars for over promising and under delivering. The shed has been great though.

It's good for the price. Read the dimensions and reviews closely so you expect what you are getting. The ground needs to be completely level for the doors to work properly but there are ways to work around it if it is not.

It is a great shed. Thought it came with floor, but it doesn't. It is still a great and durable shed.

This shed does not have a floor. When I purchased it that was not made clear and should have been. Fortunately, I had a concrete pad and ordered it with a foundation kit. Just luck that I had what I needed and ordered the right thing.The shed showed a window but it was not included in the package. Also showed shelves and there were none. Otherwise okay. The main test will be whether it stands up to our high wind conditions.

Very nice shed, other than taking 2 months to get here and all the extras we had to buy to build it. Online doesn't tell you what needs to go with it. Instructions say 2 to 3 hour assembly, more like 3 days! Now let's hope it doesn't leak!

Prefect size and color blends well in my yard and was just what we needed .

Says it is a 8ft x 6ft. When got frame out of box and started putting it together, it 8ft x 5ft. Now riding mower will not fit, so what a waste of false information. I guess I will buy another from somewhere else to put mower in. You just lost a customer, and I will let others know about your false info.On the front of the book, it evens says 8ft x 6ft shed, easy assemble,

I absolutely love our new shed. It wasn’t very hard to put together, just have to pay attention to detail. Overall, I’m so excited I bought it that I ordered a larger 10.5’x8 shed, same style. I also love that it keeps the critters and bugs out.

Pretty interesting project! I was doubtful when I opened the package and saw the thin panels and all the hardware. However when I started the assembly it became apparent that each bit of hardware made the shed sturdier and sturdier.In a nutshell, the shed looks great, it’s sturdy and the engineering is pretty awesome. I put mine together alone but if you can get a helper, do it, things will go much easier. A few notes, build on a level surface, don’t try to get ahead of the directions and read the instructions carefully, each step has a specific purpose and all parts are clearly marked.

Instructions are pretty good. Took me 4 weekends with a few hours each day to assemble. Did it solo, I’m a petite female, had the extra hands of my 6 year old daughter during part of it. So far it’s holding up well. Serves my storage needs. Also called duramax at one point because I thought I was missing a part. Called duramax when I thought I was missing a part. They were super nice, offered to ship it to me right away. I found the part and called them back, they were pleasant and understanding. Definitely a good buy.

It's a very nice shed. It took me about 1 1/2 days to put it together working alone, follow directions carefully for best result. You must construct on a solid base, I built a wood frame foundation and made sure it was square. If you do that all will be well, take the time. Make sure you caulk the push clips & pins, top & sides for watertight interior, I had to re-do some, had a few leaks, with more caulk. Very satisfied with result.

I would have given a 5 star but they state its 8 x 6 but its only 79x 53. Waiting to see if I can fit what I wanted in it...Other than that its a great little shed. Delivery was great. Received it earlier than stated. Came in 1 box, thought maybe something got missed but no, thats all there is. Everything is well packaged and labeled. Like the other reviews, I thought it looked flemsy at first but after you get the roof up its really sturdy. The direction are easy to follow, not alot of writing, but a picture is worth a 1000 words. Im a 55yr old women and this is my first shed...Just follow directions exactly and youll be fine. It took 2 days but I did 90 of the work by myself. Its suppose to rain this weekend so well see if its waterproof...to be continued

Looks great! Took three knowledgeable people to assemble shed and several hours, mainly due to drilling holes for the anchors in concrete. After that it was smooth sailing.

Awesome shed meets my needs and room to spare , Sturdy and looks great

Shed looks very nice and is definitely an upgrade to our smaller one. It does take quite a while to put up. We spent one afternoon just getting the foundation right and the next day we started building the actual shed. The doors did not line up flush, but after pushing the top side of the shed, they lined up fine. I called Duramax customer service and was told it was because of the flexible frame. We may upgrade or add an additional locking handle because the handles are just plastic. Also, I’ll be very interested in seeing how this stands up to any sort of wind or bad storm. I hope it works out.

I read the instructions all the way through to gain a full understanding before beginning. Once I had a vision of how it went together, it was simply a matter of studying each step and following through. The instructions were all in pictures with few words, much like you get with IKEA. All the holes lined up and it went together like clockwork. Yes, early on is a challenge and things look a little flimsy at first. But as the structure comes together, it gets more sturdy. I had two hiccups going along because I didn't look at the pictures in the instructions carefully, but they were very easy to remedy. The only issue I had was working the roof. Some of the holes for the roof pins didn't line up very well, especially on the gable directly under the highest point on the roof. But even then, it was a simple matter to jiggle the roof panels to get the pins in the roof panels. The instructions for building your own foundation call for the 2x4's to lay flat. I decided to turn them up instead. It just didn't make sense to me. I placed my foundation on top of some 2 inch pavers and it turned out perfect. As an added measure to protect the plywood floor from moisture, I covered the entire underside with Tyvek. Ordering through Duramax was a breeze and they beat the estimated shipping date by a mile. Duramax did a fantastic job communicating with me via texts and emails during shipping. The big box arrived with no damage and every single part was in the box. If you've got average skills for building things, this will be a fun project for you. It certainly was for me.

Nice shed. Parts are labeled and it is easy to put up as long as you follow the directions. Takes a day for two people to install.

Well made and arrived intact. We ordered the shed with foundation, however, we did not receive the foundation in the kit. Corrine at Duramax not only took care of replacing the optional missing part that we had originally ordered, but gave us a refund for the inconvenience of having to wait again. Great service.

It’s perfect just the right size so you don’t see it from the street

It seemed kind of flimsy in the box but once it was up it seems sturdier. I think its gonna work great and the price was perfect!

I love my shed. I bought it to put my husbands outside tools in so I can save them as he passed away in July. I am a 70 yr woman and it took me awhile to put it together ( 1 week )as I put it together by myself and had to rest and sit down quite a bit. I had to improvise as I did not have anyone helping me. It is very strong, a storm came through the first night after I finished it and it had no leaks or movement. It is very sturdy. I have helped put together 2 metal sheds over the years and they leaked and rusted that is why I choose this one. My choice was a good one.

The shed is nice. Putting the shed together was very challenging and time consuming. Two men worked on it and it took four days. There were lots of pieces and the directions were difficult to follow.

Took a while to build very complicated instructions are not easy explained. But once it was build it’s strong and passes HOA rules not too high

Fairly easy to assemble. Holds up well to desert climate

The shed is really easy to assemble if you take the time to lay out all of the parts initially so you can identify them quickly during the assembly process. That's a no brainer. If you are putting the shed on a concrete base, make sure you have the base pour at least one foot larger that the shed dimensions. I.E., if you get the 6'X8' shed, do a 7'X9' slab. The shed does not seem to be very substantial at first but as you assemble it, it becomes pretty sturdy as the supports are installed. Good for the price and will do everything I need it for. I'm using it for storage of swimming pool items and toys.

Bought during the shutdowns and didn't put it together until the following year. Fixed it to my backyard deck. The manual is actually quite detailed and not hard to follow. Stay sturdy in Canada's snowy windy winter.

It’s still in the box. We will hire someone. We are apartment types. bUT!! Love the colour to hide the clutter , love the simple look, I’m the belle of this house not the shed...and when it’s up, we will sit right down and we won’t write ourselves a letter, but a letter we will write, to you.

Exactly what I wanted based upon the description. Biggest problem on shipping. It took almost 6 weeks from when I ordered it.

This works really well for what we needed. Assembly is involved... takes a long time and is pretty intricate - set aside your day! You'll also need to get plywood for flooring - but once all is said and done, it's working great for our items and looks acceptable outside of our home.

Love this storage building! You definitely need 2 men to assemble it. The directions were not real clear. But when they finally got it put together love it!

Very nice sturdy shed.

This says it’s a 7x5 shed the box it comes in says 6x8. Caused a lot of confusion since I was buying a shed by cubic ft. Once it was all said and done it is right and works great. It literally took months before I knew I had the right shed though. Idk if I would be willing to go threw all that again.

the shed is perfect for my requirements - I have just about enough space to accommodate it and it holds everything I envisaged storing in it. It's location is fairly sheltered, so can't comment on how well it would handle high winds (although an anchoring kit is available if required). It has had some heavy downpours and the inside has remained bone dry. It took 2 men a good day to erect; the instructions are good but have to be followed VERY carefully - we managed to go wrong a couple of times which added to the build time, possibly by an hour in toto, maybe not quite that long.

Very sturdy and nice shed. Lot of parts and steps to follow. Took me and friend 4 or 5 hours to put together. We are experienced in putting stuff together and have all the tools. You need to follow the instructions to a tee. Most importantly base has to be perfectly square installed to the exact dimensions provided or you will run into issues later with the door not being level etc. After you put the pegs and or some of the screws, you cant take them off to fix your mistake, so make sure you follow instructions very carefully. The manufacturer is very helpful with installation help or shipping missing parts if you have any.

Great looking shed. Ordered flooring but was waste. Doors dont align correctly. Install was 2 days. Make sure you place on cement and take the time to seal the inside, screws, etc.

Shed will not withstand 60-70 mile per hour winds. Plastic walls break. Sorry I purchased it.

Good shed for the price. Assembly was reasonably easy if you follow the instructions. It took my husband about 5 hours. We would recommend this shed.

The shed is nice - metal frame with plastic siding. The instructions are not fabulous. They are all pictures and not clear on the direction each piece should be facing. This cause several pieces to have to be moved around several steps later. Very annoying.

We have had this shed in the hot Arizona sun (triple digits in the summer) for almost 2 years now and it still looks new - a great product, very pleased with the purchase.

Great shed, easy to put together. It could have been put up in 5-6 hours but it was very hot and smoky in our area so my husband had to put together over 2days. It looks very nice and it’s great quality, sturdy. Nice that you can buy shelving accessories though Duramate. Great buy, we shopped around and price was excellent for size and quality!

I like the construction, but thought the roof and high frontal pieces are a bit flimsy with the peg and pin install. Since I live in Florida, I was going to utilize self tap screws for anchoring. The body is quite sturdy and leveling of the base is crucial.

good deal, tough to assemble but then I don't have patience so I hired someone.

Thought this product is great. First, it was delivered on time and the driver brought the box brought into my garage. Nice. Second, sorting the box of parts and manual were all present. No damage parts. The plastic part seem of high quality. The framing is partially metal to keep it stable.Third, the parts had IDs so it very easy to follow. The manual diagrams were clear. I was able to complete by myself in-between the rain and free time after work (3 days). One time consuming was buying the flooring but the “place” was able to cut the the wood to the specs and I had them cut into 3 pieces so I was going o load into my car. I would recommend for reasonable pricing and quality. Thank you.

It does have some restriction on available head height, so some care is needed entering and exiting the shed ( I am 5ft 8in - so not particularly tall). Very pleased overall, and would recommend.

This is a very nice shed. We had a friend put it together and it took him all day because there were so many pieces. We would have never been able to do it. We love the skylight and double doors
